Monetize and Blog to the Bank with ShoppingAds

Shopping Ads

Shopping Ads, a new CPC Ad Network and monetizing kid on the block is in for bloggers to start blogging to the bank.

Like their slogan goes “monetize your site with live merchant listings” bloggers are sure getting good CPC from their blogs.

ShoppingAds is owned by Peter Galvin of Text-Link-Ads and AuctionsAds. The site, which is in private beta testing is currently doing so well on my blogs.

Shopping Ads unlike Auctionads is based on a CPC (cost-per-click) model instead of the CPA (cost-per-acquisition) model and it has a CPC of around $0.25.

Shoppingads has also partnered with a number of online merchants to display their inventory like Amazon and shopping.com .

Shoppingads like John Chow’s TTZ Media Affiliates offers publishers the ability to either add your own keywords or let publishers recommend ads based on their website’s content.

Google Monetizes Youtube Videos

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 |

Google’s Adsense monetizing programme for bloggers and website publishers seems to be growing stronger and stronger by the hour even as many advertising networks spring up.

Earlier this year, rumours were rife that Google was going to add video ad units to the already existing adsense money making product streams. Well after a long period of waiting for this interesting ad feature Google this morning officially started monetizing videos on youtube.

It was announced on Google’s Official Adsense Blog that the service is now ready for publishers and bloggers to use on their blogs and websites.

We’re excited about the launch of video units — a new way to enrich your site with quality, relevant video content in an embedded, customizable player.

Simply embed a snippet of code and have relevant YouTube partner content streamed to your site. You can choose categories of video to target to your site, select content from individual YouTube partners, or have video automatically targeted to your site content.

Companion and text overlay ads are relevant and non-intrusive. To further blend the YouTube player into your site, you can also customize the color scheme and layout as well as choose from three different player sizes.

[Via Google Adsense Blog]

The new format is known as a “video unit,” and consists of three things:

1. A customizable embedded player
2. The Video Content
3. The Advertisement

Below is a sample of the Google Video Ad Unit

Google Adsense Videos

In order to use the service, publishers will need both an AdSense account and a Youtube account. Upon registering for the AdSense video program, the two accounts will be merged.

Similar to Google text version of AdSense, advertisers are charged only when an individual clicks on an ad. In the video program, however, both the site publisher and the video producer will be given a share of the ad revenue.

Note:
Google Video Ad Units is Currently Available for United States Publishers whose websites are in the English-Language Only.

Three Days of Monetizing With WidgetBucks

Monday, October 8th, 2007 |

WidgetBucks4

Revenue reports for WidgetBucks have been trickling in per their 48-72hrs revenue reporting system and this is my report for three days of monetizing with widgetbucks. The money earned  is about $34.

Comparing the number of impressions to the total Clicks, Click-Rate seems to be quite low for the 300×250 banner sizes. I am beginning to feel two things are not going well with my blogs.

1. Either the Ad categories don’t match the blog content or
2. The Ad placements are just not right for monetizing purposes

The 728×90 Banner seems to be doing better than the others with a Click-Rate of 3.1%. I will still experiment for some few days and see what comes out of the other banner sizes.

Well on the lighter side, if the $25 bonus widgetbucks promised on sign up is anything to go by, then i guess I am right to say i have made my first $50 with widgetbucks. Huraaaayyyyyyy.

Well for those on you who don’t know about WidgetBucks and might be wondering what it is, It is the hottest pay-per-click(PPC) Online Money Making Stream for Bloggers and Publishers.

Income Report For WidgetBucks - October 5 2007

Saturday, October 6th, 2007 |

As promised, WidgetBucks Revenue reports are in for Bloggers and Publishers, I guess by now those who have been monetizing their blogs with WidgetBucks should have seen how much they have earned so far.

In my earlier blog, per the impressions and clicks i got, I felt the revenue was going to be a bit high but on the contrary, its not so satisfactory.

Honestly its not the best of revenue report a blogger would expect to see on a friday night, especially when traffic on weekends are not so encouraging.

The report below is the income generated as at October 1st. The 300×250 Banner made some click-thru with revenue @ $1.27.

Well I will still hold on and do some little test drive with other banner sizes to see what next week will bring. It will be too early for anyone to loose hope, afterall this is just the first day report.

If you are a blogger seeking to make money online or monetize your blog or website, then its time for you to Join WidgetBucks Family.

My WidgetBucks Statistics For Day One

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007 |

Widget 2

It’s just about 24hours since I installed WidgetBucks on my blogs and the picture above shows my current stats.

Unfortunately the reports statistics are delayed so you cannot see the exact amount earned so far.

For me the 300×250 Banner is performing wonders with impressions of about 19,000 and 48 Clicks @ 0.25%.

The 728×90 Banner isn’t also doing badly with 6 clicks already. I am still experimenting the various ad sizes to know which one best suits my websites and blogs.

I am definitely waiting for the close of this weekend to see how much I have actually earned from WidgetBucks.

Earn Money Online with WidgetBucks

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007 |

widget bucksBloggers who are not earning so much from their current advertising channels should be smiling by now with the release of an innovative online money making tool from the folks at Mpire Corporation, WidgetBucks!.

Of course like the name suggests “Widget-Bucks”, a widget that puts bucks in your pockets. LOL!

For all you bloggers out there who want to monetize your websites or blogs, you might want to add WidgetBucks to your current money-makers list.

I registered an account for myself last night and so far so good. I have over 5,000 impressions with quite a number of clicks.

Control Panel

WidgetBucks has a very interesting control panel that allows you to create as many widgets as possible to suit your website or your blog. Perhaps one very interesting feature it offers is the “category of product” tool that actually allows you to select the kind of ads you want to display on your website.

So far the major categories you can select from are Video Games, Sports and Outdoors, Musical Instruments, Media, Kids and Family, Jewelery and Watches, Home and Garden, Health and Beauty, Camera and Photo, Electronics, Computers, Clothing and Accessories and Cars

For you daredevils who even want a richer experience with getting ads per the content you have, widgetbucks have a product called MerchSense, which crawls your page and finds relevant products to include in your widget. Interesting isn’t it.

Ad Sizes

At the moment bloggers and publishers have 5 main options to choose from. They are:

  • Skyscraper 160×600
  • Rectangle 300×250
  • Leaderboard 728×90
  • Full Banner 468×60
  • Custom 660×330

Payments

WidgetBucks currently offers payments via checks and paypal. Of course you would have to earn $50 and over before you can get your first payment. We are also told on their website that bloggers can get between $3-$6 CPM.

Referrals

WidgetBucks also have very interesting and competitive offers for referrals in the advertising industry. They have cool banners you can choose from to suite your website or blog

Adding referral tools to your site or blog is a snap with the code snippets below. There’s no need to add your affiliate code — it’s already built in.
With WidgetBucks’ Referral program, affiliates can earn a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people they refer.

Affiliates receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins. Payouts to affiliates are monthly, along with their commission checks.

Google Introduces AdSense for Mobile

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 |

Adsense 2I just read on Problogger that Google has just launched a new service which enables publishers with Mobile websites to monetize them.

AdSense publishers who are logging into their AdSense accounts today will notice a new link in their Overview page - AdSense for Mobile - Get Started. Source: Problogger.net

This means you are supposed to see the link after you log on. Hurriedly I logged on to see how best I could start utilizing this tool.

I got to the page and realized the link wasn’t showing on my page. LOL

For a moment, I thought it was just a prank Darren Rowse was playing on us, but knowing the credibility he has in the blogosphere, I did a double-check by opening the Adsense Setup Page. Below Adsense Setup Page was a text marked with an astericks.

• We do not currently offer AdSense for Mobile in Ghana.

Adsense 3

Obviously that means Adsense for Mobile is currently not available to Publishers in Ghana and “perhaps” other countries outside America.

NB: Ghana is located in West Africa.

So for publishers in America and Its environs, its time to start going mobile with Adsense, but if you happen to be in my shoes, you will just have hold on and wait patiently till Adsense for Mobile reaches you.
